A Full Day in Concarneau

An adventure between Ville Close, town center, and beaches

€22.00

Morning – Discover the town center and Ville Close

Start your visit by exploring the famous Ville Close: its ramparts, picturesque alleyways, and numerous shops.

Then continue to the lively town center, where the maritime atmosphere blends with local life: friendly terraces, market halls, shops, and charming little streets.

The end of the morning route gives you the option to have lunch wherever you wish: savor a local specialty or create your own picnic.

Afternoon – Nature and relaxation

The afternoon is dedicated to a nature walk. Follow a section of the customs officers' path to secluded beaches, often unknown to tourists.

This route reveals another side of Concarneau, wilder and more peaceful, before returning to your starting point.

Be the first to book your guided walk, available from spring 2026.

Why?

  • Easier to find a spot in the free parking lot, so you can start your walk peacefully

  • More pleasant to discover the Ville Close in the morning (less crowded than in the afternoon)

Between June 15 and September 15, we advise against starting this walk after noon, as some places may be closed, parking lots inaccessible, and traffic in the Ville Close becomes very difficult.

Every Friday throughout the year is market day. It will also be more difficult to find parking in the free lot in the morning.

Finally, on the 3rd Sunday in August, the Festival des Filets Bleus takes place. Access to Concarneau will be paid and crowds will be large; it's therefore preferable to avoid that day for your walk.

  • Meet at a free parking lot to start the walk (depending on traffic and times, see Our recommendations for timing)

  • Follow the walk at your own pace, without constraints

  • Great addresses (restaurants, bars, shops)

  • Locations of the nearest restrooms along the route

  • The route forms a loop: you finish where you started
