Accessible Half-Day in Concarneau

Whether you're in a wheelchair or with a stroller, this walk is made for you!

€15.00

At "Balades & Clics", we pay special attention to accessibility: all our adapted routes have been tested and validated in the field, so no worries on that front. However, if you don't have a sports-type wheelchair, it's better to have someone accompany you to make it easier to navigate certain curbs and some cobblestone areas (even though they're short).

Discover Concarneau in complete freedom with this route that takes you from the famous Ville Close to the heart of the lively town center.

Depending on your starting point, you'll begin by wandering through the Ville Close, surprising yourself as you notice hidden details that only attentive visitors discover. Continue your walk towards the quays and town center, where the maritime atmosphere blends with local life: welcoming terraces, market halls, shops, and many small details that will enrich your visit. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere to take a break, watch passersby, and smell the salt and crêpes. This route allows you to discover Concarneau at your own pace, without constraints, while experiencing a rich journey through heritage, culture, and local ambiance, where every alleyway and panorama deserves to be captured.

Once your payment is confirmed, you freely choose the date of your walk.

Our routes are available year-round, 7 days a week.

Need to leave right now? No problem! You can even start your walk in less than 15 minutes.

  • A phone charged to 100% (90% works too)

  • A 2-euro coin (or bank card) for public transport during the route

  • A water bottle

  • An umbrella and sunscreen: checking the local weather is always useful. We are in Brittany after all!

Approximately 3 hours depending on your pace and curiosity.

Although the walk is done over a half-day, we strongly recommend starting the route in the morning.

Ideal time: 10 a.m.

Why?

  • Easier to find a spot in the free parking lot, so you can start your walk peacefully

  • More pleasant to discover the Ville Close in the morning (less crowded than in the afternoon)

  • The route will take you past Concarneau's museums: take the opportunity to gather information for a visit in the afternoon

  • You can scout out shops and restaurants and return to them later in the day at your leisure

Entre le 15 juin et le 15 septembre, nous vous déconseillons de commencer cette balade après 15h, car certains lieux risquent d’être fermés, les parkings inaccessibles et la circulation dans la Ville Close devient très difficile.

Between June 15 and September 15, we advise against starting this walk after 3 p.m., as some places may be closed, parking lots inaccessible, and traffic in the Ville Close becomes very difficult. Every Friday throughout the year is market day. It will also be more difficult to find parking in the free lot in the morning.

Finally, on the 3rd Sunday in August, the Festival des Filets Bleus takes place. Access to Concarneau will be paid and crowds will be large; it's therefore preferable to avoid that day for your walk.

  • Meet at a free parking lot to start the walk (depending on traffic and times, see "Our recommendations for timing" section)

  • Follow the walk at your own pace, without constraints

  • Enjoy great addresses (restaurants, bars, shops)

  • Locate the nearest restrooms along the route

  • Finish where you started—the circuit forms a loop
